Today I finished getting together some weapon models and textures. Nothing crazy, but I figured they would serve as a good placeholder as I start to implement a procedural animation system.
For harvesting and melee attacks.
Close range melee.
Close range, wide spread damage.
Mid range, semi/automatic damage.
Mid range, low penetration damage.
Mid range, directed energy beam.
Once we have enough, I will start planning weapons and projectile attributes. Like damage, penetration, range, bullet drop, and spread. Then we can use that early data to balance other mechanics.
